Dr. Johnson is an obstetrician/gynecologist physician who is excited to join the Monadnock OB/GYN provider team after completing an intensive community-based OBGYN program in Muskegan, Michigan. Dr. Johnsen is planning to start seeing patients in mid-August, 2023.

Dr. Johnsen was born-and-raised in Southeastern Connecticut, ultimately graduating from the University of Connecticut with a degree in biomedical engineering.  After a very short career in engineering — during which time she married my partner, Bill, and adopted an exceptionally unique Vizsla (dog), named Edith — life plans dramatically changed with a relocation to Virginia so she could attend medical school.  She could speak for hours about how she decided obstetrics and gynecology as a career, but the joy she feels from the interpersonal connections and conversations, matched with her passion for surgical problem-solving and performing those subsequent procedures, made pursuing this life an obvious choice.

Missing snow-laden winters, She moved to Muskegon, Michigan from Virginia to complete her training and education as a high-level specialist.  During this journey, she and her husband added two boys, Henry (3 years old) and Erik (1 year old) — and now had decided to move back to New England, where we call home, to be closer to family (and the woods, pine trees, mountains, ocean, and seafood).  The Monadnock team felt like a perfect match, and she is excited to become a part of the team and be your OB GYN provider!
